Less anticipated perils of nudism: Naked German women found in woods

Less amusingly, exploitation of berry pickers.

Apparently Morrisons sells jars of bilberries from Poland (where they are presumably picked by Poles), and any potential radioactivity doesn't present a health hazard. Alas, I don't have a local Morrisons. I shall have to go to Ilkley Moor when in the north later this month.

ETA: Comments frozen as nude hikers appear to attract lots of spam!

May heaven rain blessings down upon your head - you are a heroine! I love this. I love Bunter taking a bag of boiled sweets to the talkies, I love the fact that he doesn't have any expectation of watching the film, and I despair at the foolishness of the young person Elizabeth, who could have spent the evening snogging Bunter in the second-from-the back row and blew it. Please, please get your arse into gear and write the rest. Houses? Who needs houses (or sleep) when there is fic to be had?

Elizabeth will rue it in years to come, or so Bunter likes to think. His lordship isn't the only one who can give lessons (although his lordship's are less likely to be conducted up against a wall). I shall try not to be too long with the other four and one times.

Ed. And I hope it is a general need of Wimseyfic and not Wimseyfic as balm to life's trials.

It is! I really can't complain about my life right now, apart from the shocking dearth of Wimseyfic, which you have kindly ameliorated. And with the promise of more in the offing, I think (I hope) I can andure the wait for the next installments.

LOL! Bunter in bit-of-rough mode. I approve.

So it's just the fanfic DTs?

I fear that life too often holds a shocking dearth of Wimseyfic. I fear I cannot actually recommend this one (http://mylodon.livejournal.com/184782.html), not least because it does a "Voldemort's daughter inspires Harry to save the world", but I was quite entertained to see a published author who is clearly inspired by Wimsey making her characters inspire the man himself.

Oh dear, now I'm frustrated! It's Wimseyfic, so it is, but on the other hand it's also HPfic, and I just can't face HP, I'm sorry. I do my best to see the good side of it - oh, JKR, she's so wonderful with names and spells, isn't she? - but the bottom line is that I think it's drivel and I'm not interested in any of the characters, and now that Pottermania is over I don't even have curiosity driving me to try to work out why so many other people like it.

Wish fulfilment is what fic is FOR.

This one isn't actually HPfic - that's merely an analogy. It appears to be published original slash/Wimsey fic. Not that I have read the originals (she stresses).

You're going to have to read my Corsican mpreg Potter crossover with bonus valet-rogering though. But Harry Potter isn't in it, and duels, Corsican inn-keepers' daughers and Bunter in motorcycle leather are.

You have to be careful with me an analogies. I'm relentlessly literal-minded. However, venturing into the story, I find that the description of 30 year old "Jonty" - which would be off-putting but just about bearable were he seventeen - prevents me from reading any further for fear I encounter any more authorial drooling.

I know. But I am planning to skim through the HP bits with my eyes as close to shut as possible. I have faith that you will make it worth my while.

My main problem with the name Jonty is that it reminds me of a trumpet player of that name at music centre, who was everything you can imagine of a blond floppy-haired trumpet-player named Jonty at the age of seventeen, and I cannot take it seriously as belonging to anybody else.

The only Jonty I know is four. This doesn't help either.

Bunter in motorcycle leather

Oh dear, for that, and your writing, I too will put up with the HP half of the crossover.

You'll have to face HP one day, you know. Consider it innoculation for the umpteenth read-through on the car stereo.

I got as far as no. 4 if that's the one that starts with the interminable Quiddich match, before losing the will to live. I know who everyone is but not whether they got killed/turned into a werewolf/turned out to be evil in the end by vol. 7 and if I need to know that, I have an 8 year-old expert on hand.

That's the Quidditch match one, yes. I have a soft spot for Potter basically because I discovered the fandom during a summer of temp jobs, when I had lots of time on the internet and got into all the conspiracy theories as to who was evil.

It's all right, you don't have to defend your dreadful taste in source materials to us. Look at me, I wrote Man from UNCLE fanfiction. Harry Potter is an aesthetic marvel in comparison.
