I could totally see wanting to ship Bredon off at an early age. That's if the prep schools were functioning in the war - presumably they were? I seem to remember a couple of the boys in the 7 up series were in boarding school at 7, and funny enough, they don't seem to have turned out nearly as obnoxious as the upper-class kids from the non-boarding pre-prep school.
